Scope:
The Operations Support Specialist Team Lead role ensures business procedures are executed effectively and efficiently, contributing to the company's overall growth. They routinely interact with the Operations Support Specialists in various capacities including QA system config, workflow guidance and supplemental support (as needed). They also provide Administrative Support to the Vendor Management Team.
Education:
- High School Diploma
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of health insurance administration experience.
- Previous team lead experience preferred.
Requirements/Skills:
- Proficient in business software tools such as:
- Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
- Project Tracking Software
- Formstack
- Adobe Pro
- Ability to learn and utilize internal applications.
- Ability to learn and utilize process mapping software.
- Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders and external clients and vendors.
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Awareness of internal and external customer needs
- Knowledge of insurance, self-funded, and stop loss industry.
- Self-motivated to see tasks through from start to finish.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- System Configuration
- Ongoing Client Management
- Quality Assurance
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshooting issues through interdepartmental coordination and communication with clients.
- Policy and Procedure Maintenance: Develop new policies and update existing policies as needed.
- Training: Train staff when processes change
- Meet regularly with Operations Support Specialists to train, answer questions and foster career growth.
- Assist with other misc. projects and tasks.
- Provide Vendor administrative assistance.
Work Environment / Physical Demands: This position is in a typical office / home office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. This is a remote position.
The starting rate of pay is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour.
